Job summary

Bill Cole Automall in West Virginia is seeking a Lube Technician to perform oil changes and light maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will inspect, diagnose simple issues, road test vehicles, and document all work on the repair order.

You’ll communicate with parts, participate in training programs, and stay current with manufacturer bulletins to ensure driveability and safety. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to handle assigned tasks

Qualifications

Job description

Purpose:

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing oil changes and light maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. A lube technician is expected to perform quality work without direct or continual supervision and be able and willing to work on all work assigned to him/her.

Essential Duties :

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage ad missing major components and driveability functions.
