Job summary

DaveSyverson Auto Center in Minnesota is seeking a full-time Lube Technician. We will train and certify you, and you’ll join a growing family-owned dealership with a solid reputation.

You’ll perform maintenance on all makes and models, provide labor estimates, and explain repairs in non-technical terms. The role offers competitive pay, paid training, health insurance, 401(k), holidays, PTO, and no weekends.

Qualifications

• ASE or OEM certifications a plus.
• Familiarity with CDK DMS a plus.
• Team oriented with strong customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment.
• General automotive knowledge.
• Maintains personally owned tools in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors/customers in non-technical terms.
• Continuously learn new technical information in training sessions to stay updated.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings for necessary repairs.
• Perform basic maintenance such as tire rotations, brakes, fluids, lubrication, batteries, bulbs.

Lube Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Perform regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Basic maintenance including but not limited to: Tire rotations and Tire replacement, Brake Inspection, Fluid top off, Lubrication services, Batteries, Light bulbs, etc.

Lube Technician Qualifications:

• ASE or other OEM Certifications a plus
• Familiarity with CDK DMS a plus
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining high level of customer service
• Some Working knowledge of shop equipment
• Automotive knowledge
• Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools in good working order
• Valid drivers license
