Job summary

DaveSyverson Auto Center is seeking a full-time Lube Technician. We will train and certify you. Join a family-owned dealer with a long-standing local reputation, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities include performing maintenance per orders, conducting routine services, providing labor estimates, and explaining repairs to customers. We value teamwork, customer service, and commitment to safety through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering strong customer service and explaining repairs clearly.
• Good automotive knowledge and ability to diagnose common issues.
• ASE or OEM certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with CDK DMS is advantageous.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work per orders with dealership standards.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on all makes/models.
• Provide labor estimates for additional repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to service advisors and customers in plain language.
• Continuously learn new techniques through formal training.

Lube Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Perform regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Basic maintenance including but not limited to: Tire rotations and Tire replacement, Brake Inspection, Fluid top off, Lubrication services, Batteries, Light bulbs, etc.

Lube Technician Qualifications:

• ASE or other OEM Certifications a plus
• Familiarity with CDK DMS a plus
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining high level of customer service
• Some Working knowledge of shop equipment
• Automotive knowledge
• Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools in good working order
• Valid drivers license
