Job summary

Dave Syverson Auto Center is seeking a full-time Lube Technician to join our family-owned dealership. We will train and certify you, offering top pay and benefits as you grow with our team.

The position emphasizes maintenance on all makes/models, accurate labor estimates, and clear communication with service advisors and customers while keeping up with evolving automotive technology.

Qualifications

• ASE or OEM certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with CDK DMS is a plus.
• Team oriented and focused on customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment.
• Automotive knowledge and tool maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs per orders to dealership standards.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on all makes/models.
• Provide labor/time estimates for repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to advisors and customers in plain terms.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay updated with tech.
• Inspect/test new vehicles and record findings.

Lube Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Perform regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Basic maintenance including but not limited to: Tire rotations and Tire replacement, Brake Inspection, Fluid top off, Lubrication services, Batteries, Light bulbs, etc.

Lube Technician Qualifications:

• ASE or other OEM Certifications a plus
• Familiarity with CDK DMS a plus
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining high level of customer service
• Some Working knowledge of shop equipment
• Automotive knowledge
• Maintains sufficient personally-owned tools in good working order
• Valid drivers license
