Job summary

Oil Changers in Austin seeks an experienced store manager to oversee daily operations and lead a busy team. You will supervise technicians, manage inventory, and handle paperwork to ensure profitable, quality service for customers.

You will monitor cash controls, train staff, and ensure safety and cleanliness while meeting store goals. This role reports to the Regional Manager and requires strong communication skills in a garage environment.

Qualifications

• Be able to read and write English.
• Previous management/supervisory experience is required.
• Good technical knowledge and math skills are required.
• Equipment operation includes overhead and floor-mounted oil and grease guns, coolant exchange machine, differential pump, transmission fluid exchange machine and calculator.
• Must be able to reach overhead to a height of four feet. Constant bending, stretching, and stair use are required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, Regional Manager, and Corporate Personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall day-to-day direction to store personnel to ensure efficient and quality service to customers.
• Supervise and train technicians while monitoring employee–to–customer interactions.
• Complete required paperwork and enact cost-control measures to ensure profitability and growth through inventory management.
• Perform service to customer vehicles: check and change fluids and filters, adjust tires; provide specialized services including transmission, differential, radiator; input customer and maintenance information into computers; explain service to customers and accept payment.
• Maintain and enforce proper cash controls; complete store inspections weekly; correct discrepancies with assistance of Regional Manager.
• Oversee and direct daily clean-up to maintain clean, presentable facilities and grounds.
