Job summary

Albert Lea Area Schools seeks a paraeducator for a long-term replacement at Albert Lea High School (grades 8-12). This .9 FTE position supports students with diverse needs in an inclusive setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to work in a team, and CPR/First Aid training is preferred. Salary is $16.83 per hour with earned sick leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Must pass local Academic Proficiency Exam or have 60 college hours at post-secondary level.
• Preferred experience with children of differing abilities.
• Preferred experience with emotional/behavioral challenges and learning differences.
• Must possess good organizational skills.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must pass local Academic Proficiency Exam or have taken at least 60 hours semester credits at post-secondary level
• Preferred experience working with children of differing abilities
• Preferred experience working with individuals with emotional, behavioral learning challenges, learning differences, and functional skills needs.
• Must possess good organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team approach
• CPR and First Aid training / certification preferred
• Educational qualifications: Equivalent of 2 years of college (AA degree) or passing score on Para Pro (460)
