Job summary

Westminster Pharmacy Services in Orlando, FL seeks a PRN Pharmacist to join our team. You will evaluate physician orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and stability, with availability for nights and weekends (5pm-11pm).

As part of our Westminster Pharmacy Services team, you will support residents with accurate medication management, perform DUR reviews, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• DUR analysis and medication order evaluation.
• Ability to make therapy change recommendations.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a dynamic LTC environment.

Responsibilities

• Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff.
• Conduct Drug Utilization Review (DUR) on all prescriptions and check for drug interactions.
• Maintain patient/resident databases with medical history and current medications.
• Coordinate with technicians to reconcile controlled substances with inventory and dispensing.
• Provide clinical answers to drug-related questions from internal/external customers.
• Document all communications in the medical record.
