A Massachusetts-based health services network is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join their growing team in New Bedford.

About the Opportunity:

  • Assignment Length: 6+ months (possibility of extension)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (flexible)
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm (flexible)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and direct resident/resident rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards
  • Evaluate residents/resident needs and establish effective and efficient treatment plans for the resident/residents assigned
  • Manage and coordinate the supervision of treatment plans with all staff and other disciplines as indicated
  • Participate in the screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices
  • Provide feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues
  • Perform necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
  • Assist with marketing efforts as directed
  • Participate in in-service training programs as requested
  • May travel to other facilities to provide services

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current, active Physical Therapy Assistant license within the state of operations

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Older Adult Rehabilitation
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in healthcare settings
