PharMerica in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician for a non-retail, closed-door setting serving long-term care and senior living clients.

You will fill prescriptions, label products, prepare medications, and manage inventory while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. The schedule is typically on evenings with rotating weekends, and the company offers extensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into the computer system to generate labels.
• Participate in pharmacy inventory management and stock checks.
• Handle returned medications per protocol and communicate with customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate specialized tasks in narcotics room and IV room as assigned.
