Independent Living Systems (ILS) in Miami, FL is seeking a Pharmacist to join our LTC pharmacy team. You will dispense prescription medications accurately while offering guidance on proper use, side effects, and interactions.

You will collaborate with providers and staff to optimize therapeutic outcomes, ensure compliance with all regulations, and help manage inventory. The role emphasizes patient safety and community health education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid and active pharmacist license in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmacy law.
• Experience with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to counsel patients and collaborate with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations, including record-keeping and reporting requirements.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring medication expiration dates.
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention programs, offering immunizations and wellness advice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all professional interactions.
