Responsibilities

• Evaluate physician orders for appropriateness, drug interactions, and dosing; suggest therapy changes as needed.
• Maintain resident medical records and reconcile controlled substances with inventory.
• Support cost containment strategies across dispensing and procurement activities.
• Provide clinical answers to drug-related questions from staff and external customers.
• Document communications with physicians, nurses, and residents in medical records; ensure regulatory documentation.
