SILAC Insurance Company is seeking a Care Specialist to determine LTC claims eligibility and coordinate care planning. You will communicate with customers, agents, and providers to ensure accurate benefits administration and personalized service.

The role is full-time, in-office in Salt Lake City, with a starting pay rate of $21.75 per hour and a 40-hour week. You will review documents, improve care coordination processes, and support care providers and policyowners with clear communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or combination showing ability to perform the job.
• Ability to accurately assess policyowner needs and create individualized care plans.
• Experience communicating professionally, patiently, and clearly in speech and in writing.
• Ability to research and logically consider details from many sources, and to bring them together to support a conclusion.
• Experience using PC applications such as MS Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks with accuracy and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing workload and meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
• Geriatric client experience.
• Long Term Care, disability, or other insurance claims experience.
• Insurance experience in cost containment.
• Knowledge of state regulations and AML procedures and identifying potential fraud or elderly abuse situations.

Responsabilités

• Determine claims eligibility and manage cost effective care planning for LTC policyowners.
• Coordinate with LTC staff to provide personalized customer service and communicate policy language.
• Promote the value of LTC products and represent the company's mission and values.
• Deliver assistance in a friendly, personalized way to build trustworthy relationships.
• Assist with tasks and projects such as claim appeals, legal disputes, and revision of forms and documents.
