Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care facility in Johnstown, PA. The role requires 1+ year of LTAC experience, BLS, and eligibility for state licensure. It offers a 13-week assignment with nights, 36 hours per week, and travel benefits.

As an LTAC RN, you’ll care for patients with complex needs, perform critical care tasks, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support recovery and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Eligible for State licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, 2 Years; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, monitor vital signs and lab results.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers for treatment plans.
• Support patients with mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs, ensuring proper patient care delivery.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility safety standards.
• Document all care activities and interventions in real time.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
