Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care facility in Pittsburgh, PA. The role requires at least 1 year of LTAC or high-acuity experience, ACLS/BLS, and state licensure eligibility.

The RN will provide direct care, monitor patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on night shifts. Candidates should be adaptable and skilled in critical care practices, with emphasis on patient-centered recovery and

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification and eligibility for state licensure.
• ACLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV meds, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers on treatment plans.
• Support mobility, hygiene, and nutrition; supervise LPNs and CNAs.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility safety standards.
• Document care activities accurately in real time; assist with admissions and discharges.
