Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN LTAC for a Des Moines, Iowa assignment. The role focuses on caring for LTAC patients, with 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week duration.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and BLS/ACLS certifications, plus 18 months LTAC experience and proficiency with vents, trachs, drips, and tele-strips.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent LTAC experience
• Experience with Vents, Trachs, Drips, EG Tubes and ability to read Tele-strips
• Other requirements to be determined by client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in fast paced environment.
• Keep up with admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Educate patients and family on surgical processes and illness management.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays.
• Report telemetry irregularities to medical team.
