Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC seeks a Licensed Social Worker / Professional Counselor to support inmate/patients in a Cumberland County correctional facility. You will assess needs, plan care, and deliver individualized treatment while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective mental health services.

You will conduct intakes, provide crisis intervention, and lead therapy groups, documenting progress and discharge summaries in a compliant, confidential manner.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current and valid licensure as an LAC, LSW, LPC, or LCSW in the state where services are provided.
• Experience in correctional health care or equivalent setting preferred.

The Licensed Social Worker / Professional Counselor provides mental health care and support for the inmate/patient population in a correctional facility. This role involves assessing, planning, and delivering individualized treatment services while collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure safe, effective, and rehabilitative mental health care.

Qualifications: Education & Licensure

• Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current and valid licensure as an LAC, LSW, LPC, or LCSW in the state where services are provided.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

• Conduct comprehensive mental health intakes, assessments, and crisis interventions.
• Provide individual and group counseling tailored to inmate/patient needs.
• Analyze psychosocial and behavioral factors to guide treatment planning and interventions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
• Maintain accurate and timely progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries.

Treatment Team Collaboration

• Serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Provide observational feedback and professional insights within the team setting.
• Refer inmates/patients to appropriate external services upon release to ensure continuity of care.

Program & Environment Management

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions addressing identified treatment needs.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all inmates/patients.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, ethical standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the behavioral health program.
