Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Licensed Social Worker / Professional Counselor to provide mental health care for inmates/patients in a correctional facility. You will assess, plan, and deliver individualized treatment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and rehabilitative care.

Responsibilities include conducting intakes, counseling, treatment planning, and thorough documentation to support continuity of care and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

• Conduct comprehensive mental health intakes, assessments, and crisis interventions.

Treatment Team Collaboration

• Serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate and optimize patient care.


• Provide observational feedback and professional insights within the team setting.


• Refer inmates/patients to appropriate external services upon release to ensure continuity of care.

Program & Environment Management

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions addressing identified treatment needs.


• Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for all inmates/patients.


• Ensure compliance with facility policies, ethical standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.


• Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the behavioral health program.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills.


• Knowledge of correctional mental health practices and trauma-informed care.
