Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to provide assessment, counseling, and behavior management for students with emotional, learning, and behavioral needs across campuses.

The LSSP will work with teachers, parents, and the ARD committee to determine eligibility and develop IEPs, offering direct services and consultation while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as LSSP from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
• 467.2 may refer to themselves as school psychologists; may hold a doctorate in the area.

Responsibilities

• Assess intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning to determine eligibility for special education.
• Score and interpret test data and develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior plans.
• Participate in ARD Committee to assist with appropriate placement and IEP development.
• May serve as case manager and implement the special education assessment process.
• Conduct counseling sessions and provide staff development and consultation for school personnel.
