Job summary

Cleburne ISD is seeking a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to provide professional psychology services in assessment, behavior management, and counseling for students with emotional, learning, and behavioral needs. The role requires a Texas LSSP license and a master's in psychology, with multiple years of experience in educational settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology from accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).
• Two years' experience providing psychology services in an educational setting.
• Three years' experience providing psychology services in the public school to supervise interns or trainees.

Responsibilities

• Select and administer formal and informal evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education.
• Accurately score and interpret assessment data for eligibility and programming decisions.
• Write psychological reports aligned with TEA and federal requirements.
• Assist in functional behavioral assessments and behavior intervention plans.
• Participate in ARD committees for appropriate placement and IEP development.
• Serve as case manager for students on assigned campuses.
• Provide informal formal consultation with teachers and parents.
• Deliver staff development to district personnel on assessment interpretation and interventions.
• Meet with parents to discuss background information and assessment results.
• Collaborate with psychologists, psychiatrists, and community agencies as needed.
