Alliant Engineering, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) to join our team.

The role works closely with the Project Manager on projects, applying standard surveying techniques in a fast-paced environment to deliver high-quality survey maps and reports. You will contribute to boundary mapping, deed analysis, and plan preparation, while mentoring survey analysts and technicians.

Qualifications

• Requires Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper licensure within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 10 years of overall surveying experience.
• Thorough knowledge of land surveying principles and practices.
• CAD experience (minimum 3 years).
• Experience with FDOT or Public Works projects and ALTA/NSPS surveys.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex survey/geomatic calculations and analysis for maps, plats and right-of-way.
• Compile and research data to efficiently complete survey requirements.
• Coordinate and assist in project estimates and schedules.
• Review deeds, title reports and survey materials for maps and reports.
• Oversee surveys to map boundaries for properties, topo studies, construction features.
