Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) PRN for our outpatient rehab team in Galax, VA. We focus on one-on-one patient care, community outreach, and a mix of techniques in a brand-new outpatient gym.

You will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and educate patients and families under supervision. Requirements: Associate degree, VA LPTA license, and BLS within 30 days. Hourly range: $23.98-$32.37.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• Current VA LPTA license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
• Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
• Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
• Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Assists with patient discharge planning.
• Provides information regarding adaptive equipment and community support programs.
