We are hiring a Pediatric Private Duty LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the Metairie area to provide weekend pediatric private duty care. Case-specific Enhanced Pay Rates are available with 8-12 shifts. We offer FT/PT hours, flexible schedules, and weekly pay!

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home Care Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care as prescribed by the physician to acutely or chronically ill patients in their homes, records clinical and progress notes, and coordinates patient care activities/services to ensure high-quality care in the assigned geographic area. She/he works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or designated supervisor, within the scope of practice defined by state laws, licensure, and agency policies.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality clinical services within the scope of practice, following all infection control procedures.
• Documents patient visits thoroughly in the electronic medical record and electronic visit verification system.
• Participates in care coordination, reports patient needs and changes, attends case conferences, and communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and team members.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information per agency policy.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

Must have current LPN licensure in the state of practice, a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or transportation, and current CPR certification.

Experience Requirements

Previous home care experience is preferred.

Additional State-Specific Requirements

LA: Current LPN licensure in LA without restrictions and at least one year of experience as an LPN.
