Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Beacon is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Weekend Warrior in Beacon, NY. The role focuses on high-quality nursing care, medication administration, and resident safety with weekend shifts. The position is on-site and offers an hourly pay range.

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am–7:30pm or 7:00pm–7:30am, with incentive hours included in the pay. Prior experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care is preferred.

Competenze

• Valid NYS LPN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work in interdisciplinary teams.

Mansioni

• Provide nursing care per resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within LPN scope.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to providers and supervisors.
• Document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration.
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care.
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate during shift changes.
• Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies

• Accurately document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration

• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives


• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required


• Current CPR Certification required


• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred


• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills


• Knowledge of medication administration, infection control, and resident care practices


• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
