Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Urgent Care Clinic. The role supports physicians by reviewing records, preparing exam rooms, and handling prescription renewals and inquiries.

Shift is rotating, 10:00am–10:00pm Monday–Friday with every other weekend 12:00pm–6:00pm. You will perform patient care duties, triage, documentation, and collaboration with health team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from accredited LPN program required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Current BLS certification preferred; must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Medical Home documentation and patient care coordination.
• Documents all lab, procedures, and appointments on tracking forms.
• Assists providers to facilitate patient treatment by retrieving tests and records.
• Handles prescription renewals/inquiries to support patient care.
• Dispenses medications under provider direction and educates patients.
