Job summary

Aura Care Group seeks an organized LPN Unit Manager / Health Unit Coordinator to lead a nursing unit within our skilled nursing team. You will oversee daily operations, provide clinical oversight, coordinate staff, schedules, admissions and care plans, and maintain organized records.

Qualifications

Current LPN license in good standing.
Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
Leadership roles in nursing (Unit Manager / HUC) preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and resident assessment skills.
Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
Experience with electronic health records and PointClickCare preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide daily leadership and oversight of the nursing unit.
Support, coach, and assist nurses and CNAs with resident care.
Monitor resident changes, assessments, documentation, and care plans.
Coordinate admissions, discharges, appointments, labs, and provider communication.
Assist with nursing schedules and staffing needs.
Complete resident rounding and respond to incidents.
Maintain organized nursing records, supplies, and unit communication.
Assist with audits, QAPI, infection prevention, and survey readiness.
Support new employee orientation and ongoing staff accountability.
Provide direct LPN nursing care as needed within scope.
