Job summary

Big Oak Rehab is seeking a compassionate LPN Unit Manager to oversee daily operations of a nursing unit and lead the nursing staff. The role emphasizes clinical leadership, care coordination, and compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

You will supervise staff, coordinate care plans, monitor residents, and ensure quality documentation while fostering a resident-centered environment and opportunities to advance professionally.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in New Jersey.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of five years nursing experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit.
• Coordinate and oversee resident care plans.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and care coordination.
• Mentor and educate nursing staff to maintain quality standards.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive, resident-centered environment for residents, families, and staff.
