Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing personnel and ensure high-quality patient care under professional standards and physician orders. The role coordinates care delivery and communicates patient changes across departments.

Ideal candidates will be licensed LPN/LVN and have at least one year of nursing management experience. This full-time position is based in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Licensed as LPN/LVN in the state.
• Prior nursing management experience preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care.
• Coordinates care delivery within scope of practice.
• Ensures patient needs are met according to professional standards, physician orders, center policies and guidelines.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Job description

Objective

Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of clinical policies and procedures.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing policies reviewed and decided as an IDT member using best practice QAA methods.
• Utilizes clinical knowledge to monitor, assist, and support staff nurses with a direct hands‑on approach.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN/LVN in state. One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
