You will verify medical records daily, arrange timely appointments and transportation, administer injections when needed, and train staff on medication documentation, adhering to all policy procedures.

Qualifications

• Must maintain professional nursing license.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s license or state ID.
• Successful completion of a drug screen.
• Background results within company standards.
• CPR & First aid training (or must complete within 30 days). Certification repeated every 2 years.
• Requires strong computer and Internet research skills, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organization and prioritization of work.

Responsibilities

• Disposal of discontinued medications.

Specific responsibilities for this position are stated below but not limited to:

• Check in monthly meds for houses under their responsibility.
• Responsibility for deposal of discontinued medications.
• Responsible for initial assessments of new residents within 72 hours of admission. Follow‑up assessments are to be completed within 24 hours of a post hospital visit.
• Daily verification of documentation of medical records.
• Ensure that all medical appointments and follow‑up appointments are made in a timely manner. Ensure that transportation to and from those appointments is arranged. Ensure that residents attend all scheduled appointments and that there is documentation to support any missed appointments.
• Administer shots when necessary.
• Ongoing training of staff regarding medication documentation.
• Have a complete understanding of all policies and procedures in the policy and procedure manual.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s license or state ID
• Successful completion of a drug screen
• Background results within company standards (i.e. no assault, bodily harm, possession of weapons or drug charge)
• Must maintain professional nursing license
• Must have CPR & First aid or must complete MSHN CPR/first aid class within first thirty days of employment. Certification must be repeated every 2 years.
