Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• CPR Certification to be obtained during Cincinnati Children’s orientation.
• Crisis Prevention De-escalation Training within 3 months of hire.
• Participation in required Cincinnati Children’s training and in-services.

Responsibilities

• Compliance - Patient Services Staff: maintain regulatory and safety standards; protect patient privacy and data; follow policies and procedures.
• Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Inclusive: monitor patients, ensure safety, and tailor care to age and cultural needs.
• Communication: observe and support patient and family needs; document accurately in the medical record; maintain patient privacy.
• Environment of Care: keep area organized and safe; assist clinical team and respond in emergencies.
• Information Services: document in EMR; use department information systems and hospital tools.
