Job summary

Alleghany Health and Rehab Center is seeking an experienced LPN to lead nursing teams and provide direct resident care in Clifton Forge, VA. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, administer medications, and follow state regulations and facility policies.

You must be licensed as an LPN, CPR certified, and able to read, write, speak, and understand English. A High School diploma or GED and accredited LPN program completion are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess leadership ability and supervise other LPNs, CNAs and non-professional personnel.
• Must be licensed LPN with applicable state.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation; CPR certification must remain current during employment.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; must have attended an accredited LPN program.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care and treatments, such as taking temperatures, blood pressures, wound care, and catheterizations.
• Assist in assessment, planning, and modification of care for residents as part of the health care team.
• Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids and document times and amounts on charts.
• Observe residents and report changes in conditions or adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
