Description

Administrative Functions
  1. Assist in maintaining a current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers and update the business office accordingly.
  2. Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars and report issues to the Director of Nursing Services (DNS).
  3. Work with Human Resources and DNS on scheduling and employee records management.
  4. Assist in staffing and scheduling, including preparing schedules, coordinating requests, and ensuring appropriate coverage.
  5. Complete and file reports, handle staffing-related correspondence, and assist with staffing issues.
  6. Answer calls related to staffing and scheduling, and coordinate interviews for applicants.
  7. Ensure all new hires have schedules and time cards before orientation.
  8. Consult with staff on staffing needs and report recommendations to the DNS.
  9. Develop good interdepartmental relationships and ensure efficient administrative operations.
  10. Review complaints related to staffing, report findings, and assist in resolving issues.
Committee Functions
  1. Attend facility committees and prepare relevant reports.
  2. Implement committee recommendations as instructed.
Personnel Functions
  1. Assist in interviewing CNAs and maintaining confidentiality of employee information.
  2. Maintain records of certifications/licenses and report incidents of fraud or unauthorized system access.
Staff Development
  1. Coordinate orientation for new staff and facilitate in-service training programs.
Safety and Sanitation
  1. Report hazards and follow safety procedures.
Equipment and Supply Functions
  1. Replenish supplies and report equipment needs.
Budget and Planning

Report suspected fraud related to billing and cost reports.

Supervisory Requirements

Delegated authority for duties as Staffing Coordinator.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Mathematical and reasoning skills, team-oriented, decision-making ability.
  • Physical ability to move, lift, and work in various environments.
Work Environment

Works in various nursing areas, may work beyond normal hours, and is exposed to potential hazards and infectious materials.
