Job summary
Marklund is seeking a Staff Nurse (LPN) to join our diverse team in Elgin, IL. We offer flexible full-time and part-time shifts with competitive hourly pay and various differentials to support patient care and staff dedication.
As a nonprofit with a mission to provide meaningful services to residents with profound disabilities, you will help administer medications, conduct health assessments, and coordinate care with physicians and families.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), current on the Illinois HealthCare Worker Registry.
- Possess current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.
- An ideal candidate will have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications, tube feedings and treatments as prescribed.
- Prepare quarterly health assessments and annual assessments.
- Inform the physician of changes in resident health status and implement physician's orders to assure optimal health care.
- Complete daily charting for care provided.
- Act as a liaison between residents, parents, physicians, consultants and case manager regarding resident status.
