Job summary

Freeman Recovery Center in Tennessee is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our behavioral health and detox programs in a residential setting. As an LPN, you will administer medications, monitor patient conditions, document in EMR, and collaborate with RNs and clinicians to ensure safe, compassionate care in a structured, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Tennessee in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid/AED certification required.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Ability to document in an electronic medical record (EMR) accurately.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document patient vital signs and general health observations.
• Administer medications as ordered and within LPN scope of practice (oral, IM, SQ, SL).
• Supervise medication administration as assigned and in accordance with facility policy.
• Observe for and report adverse medication reactions; document appropriately in EMR.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with basic wound care and patient health education as directed.
• Support chart completion and documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and program staff to support patient safety and care continuity.
• Follow Freeman Recovery Center policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards.
• Complete required training and ongoing education.
