Description

Summary/Objective: Provide basic medical and nursing care, ensure patient comfort, discuss healthcare with patients, and report patient status to registered nurses and providers.

Essential Functions

• Prepare patients for office visits.
• Apply principles of fetal growth and development in daily practice.
• Set up rooms and trays for procedures.
• Assist providers with clinic procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as needed.
• Conduct telephone triage to evaluate patient needs.
• Respond to OB/GYN emergencies appropriately.
• Document information in the patient’s medical record following policies.
• Participate as an active member of the care team, including care coordination duties.

Travel to Bartow every other Thursday based on the physician's schedule.

Requirements

LPN Specialist

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program and hold an active Florida license.
• At least 1 year of OB/GYN experience; 2 years preferred.
• CPR certification.

Medical Assistant Specialist

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of recent Medical Assistant work.
• Medical Assistant Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
