Job Description

Ideal Candidate: Must be an LPN or a Medical Assistant.

Essential Functions:

• Identify and evaluate patient needs via telephone triage.
• Administer medications, including injections, and document as required.
• Provide patient and family education and instruction.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately.
• Follow Clinical Services policies when documenting in medical records.
• Facilitate patient flow to maintain office efficiency.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office environment.

Requirements

LPN Specialist:

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Active Florida LPN license.
• Experience or training in a healthcare facility preferred.

Medical Assistant Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or recent Medical Assistant work experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification or to be obtained within 90 days.

Additional qualification includes one year of experience in a primary care setting.
