Job description

Salary: $28 - $34 / per hour

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one care to a student in the school setting within the Jefferson County Public School (JCPS) District. The LPN will deliver skilled nursing interventions and ensure the health and safety of the student throughout the school day.

This role requires the LPN to work closely with the same student for the duration of each school day. Paid training is offered for any skills needed per student.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for student(s) with medical needs (Trach, vent, G-tube feedings, seizure monitoring with rescue medications, personal care, diabetic care, etc.),
• May ride the bus to and from school with the student.

Requirements:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility requirements).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of prior LVN/LPN experience preferred.
