Job summary

Arbor Springs is a 56-bed Senior Living Community in Des Moines, IA seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise CNAs in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, coordinating with the RN and DON, and maintaining a safe, therapeutic setting for residents while upholding the facility's values.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a LPN
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner
• Must speak and understand English
• Previous experience in a nursing capacity desirable
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care desirable
• Positive attitude toward the elderly

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants in day-to-day nursing activities.
• Ensure highest quality care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

General Purpose

To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
