Job summary

CareRing Health is seeking a Home Care Nurse to support clients in their homes in Ohio, with a Friday and Saturday night schedule (10 pm–7 am). The starting rates are $26/hr for LPN and $30/hr for RN, with a $1,500 sign‑on bonus and competitive benefits.

The role emphasizes compassionate nursing care, documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team to maintain high-quality home-based services. Valid state license and travel are required.

Qualifications

• Valid State LPN/RN License.
• Valid driver’s license and use of automobile is required due to travel involved.
• Ability to read Plan of Care and medical documentation.
• Proficient in computer usage for documentation.
• Excellent customer service and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication in accordance with standards of practice.
• Encourage social/rehabilitative skills and encourage self-care and independence.
• Perform client treatments in accordance with Plan of Care.
• Assist the consumer in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes to document care provided.
• Monitor, document accordingly and report any change in client condition to Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisor.
• Promote activities to achieve a safe and healthy environment.
• Observe aseptic technique when performing client procedures/care.
• Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to develop and improve the Plan of Care.
• Assist the client in achieving established goals in the Plan of Care developed by the RN.
• Maintain productivity according to the standards of the agency.
• Maintain license, CEUs and mandatory employment requirements.
• Participate in client care meetings, in-services, orientation and staff meetings.
• Provide service in accordance with agency’s philosophy, standards, policies and scope of practice
• Participates in Performance Improvement and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• Annual MUI (Incident) training as dictated by the State of Ohio Medicaid, Ohio Home Care Program and Department of Developmental Disabilities
• Must be able to read and understand various documents used by the agency including Plan of Care, flow charts, client charts, agency policies and procedures.
• Must be able to use a computer, laptop or tablet.
• Must be able to think independently, recognize potential problems, gather information, and know when to contact a supervisor.
