Job summary

Benchmark at Orchard Valley in Wilbraham, MA, seeks a compassionate LPN/RN to join our team. You will deliver nursing care to residents in a warm, home-like environment and work with a dedicated team to foster community and long-lasting relationships.

The schedule is Monday and every other weekend, 2:00 PM–9:00 PM. State-licensed LPN and CPR certification required; 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred; elderly care experience is highly desirable. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer role is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Assess, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observe and report significant changes to care team per state regulations.
• Direct and supervise daily tasks of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentor Lead Resident Care Assistants in job responsibilities.
• Coordinate care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balance service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognize and report elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation as required by state regulations.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate calls for backup.

Benchmark at Orchard Valley is looking for a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team!

Monday & Every other Weekend 2p-9p

$31-36.25/HR

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your main role will be to deliver nursing care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment. Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports any significant changes in resident behavior and health to the Resident Care Director, physician, family, RCAs, and Executive Director per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises the daily work assignments of the Resident Care Assistants.
• Closely mentors, guides, and directs the Lead Resident Care Assistants in all aspects of their job.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via an effective case management process.
• Effectively balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Recognizes and assists in the prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation (financial and other) and reports to appropriate sources per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and personal emergency response system and knows when to call for backup.

Requirements

• Current state license as an LPN and CPR certification
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements)
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a nurse preferred
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
