Job summary

Burke Health & Rehabilitation Center in Burke, Virginia is seeking an RN/LPN Charge Nurse to support a compassionate care team. The role supervises CNAs and delivers direct patient care in line with MFA Nursing Policies and Procedures.

You will help develop and implement patient care plans, set goals, address patient and family concerns, and report to the Clinical Unit Manager for continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia RN or LPN license.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The Charge Nurse supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA Nursing Policies and Procedures. This position also assists in the development/implementation of patient care plans, identifies patient goals/approaches, resolves patient/family concerns, and summarizes concerns for Clinical Unit Manager.

Qualifications include:

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form

• Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy

• Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, patients, families, and professional/regulatory agents
