Job summary

Grifols in the United States is seeking a Center Medical Specialist to join our plasma donation network. You will perform donor evaluations, build trust with donors, and ensure confidentiality for staff and donors while upholding safety standards.

As a licensed nurse, you will educate donors on general health, manage adverse events, and support training for teammates. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with no third shift and strong opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with current state license.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in donor health assessment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform donor history and medical examination to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors on general health and provide counseling after test results.
• Evaluate donor injuries and manage adverse events.
• Assist in staff training.
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program.

About The Job

• Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Responsible for donor awareness to potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health and provide counseling regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate & manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist in employee training
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Job Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
