Job summary

Grifols in Brookings, SD is seeking a Center Medical Specialist to evaluate donor suitability, perform physicals, and educate donors on health topics. You will ensure donor and staff confidentiality and respond to any donor-related risks.

The role requires an active LPN/LVN or RN license in the state and CPR certification, with opportunities for growth across Grifols’ plasma donation network. This on-site position includes comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

About the Job

• Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
• Responsible for donor awareness to potential hazards
• Provide donor education regarding general health and provide counseling regarding unacceptable test results
• Evaluate & manage donor injuries and adverse events
• Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
• Assist in employee training
• Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Job Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
