Job summary

The Edinburg Center in Massachusetts is seeking an LPN to join a collaborative team serving individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health conditions. Work weekends/hours as needed in a residential setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Residential Managers.

The ideal candidate holds an active MA LPN license, CPR within 3 months, and strong communication skills. A driver’s license is required to support home visits and transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts LPN license required.
• Experience with developmental disabilities and/or mental health preferred.
• Residential setting experience a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and CPR within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement ISP objectives and healthcare plans with the care team.
• Assist with tube feeding and tube medication administration.
• Provide wound, ostomy and catheter care as directed.
• Support diabetes management and attend medical appointments.
• Contribute to ADL skill development and other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

Possession of a current and valid license as a practical nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration is required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health conditions is preferred. Experience working in a residential group setting is a plus. Basic computer skills — MS Word, Outlook preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license is required. CPR certification is required within the first three months of hire.

LPN - Full or part time

$30.60 per hour

What You Will Do

The LPN will work with a team including a Registered Nurse, Residential Managers and staff to ensure the health of the individuals in the home. Responsibilities include the implementation of ISP objectives and healthcare plans. This may include assisting with tube feeding and tube medication administration, wound care, catheter and ostomy care, diabetes management, attending medical appointments, participating in ADL skill development, etc. The LPN will also participate in other duties as directed by Residential Management staff.
