Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse to assist in delivering nursing care under supervision. You will observe and document patient responses, complete delegated care tasks, and reinforce discharge teaching as part of a collaborative unit team.

Requirements include a state license (Michigan) as a Practical Nurse, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification. This full-time role runs 8:00am-5:00pm with no on-call on weekends, within the assigned unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or completion of U.S. Armed Forces Practical Nursing Program.
• Current State of Michigan Practical Nurse license.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent through MTN.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and reports patient/resident response to plan of care.
• Completes delegated aspects of the care plan including safe medication administration and treatments.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Seeks to improve quality of service by developing competencies within scope of practice.
