Job summary

Campbell Street is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee residents’ health and well-being, implement care plans, and deliver expert nursing care in a compassionate, transparent environment.

The role requires coordinating with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other professionals to optimize resident care and outcomes. Applicants should hold an ADN with BSN preferred and an active RN license, preferably in Iowa, with CPR/First Aid certifications.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in the state specified (Iowa per posting).
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or obtained upon hire.
• Experience in long-term care, geriatric care, or similar settings.
• Supervisory/leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' health status, including physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor health conditions and communicate findings to physicians and care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Provide wound care and IV therapy as required.
• Supervise CNAs and LPNs, and support nursing staff compliance with protocols.
• Educate residents and families about care plans and preventive health.

This is an ideal opportunity for an RN looking for a rewarding position where you can truly make a difference!Duties & Responsibilities:Resident Care & Assessment:Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status, including physical, mental, and emotional well-being.Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents based on their health needs and goals.Monitor residents' health conditions, document changes, and communicate significant findings to the physician and other members of the care team.Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical orders.Provide wound care, IV therapy, and other advanced medical treatments as required.Perform routine medical procedures (such as taking vitals, administering injections, and dressing wounds) in accordance with care protocols.Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities:Supervise and support the nursing staff, including CNAs and LPNs, ensuring that all care duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.Provide guidance and training for nursing staff to ensure compliance with facility protocols and high standards of care.Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the leadership team to maintain optimal resident care.Communication & Collaboration:Effectively communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team to ensure clear, accurate, and timely updates on patient conditions.Educate residents and their families on care plans, treatment options, and preventative health measures.Work closely with physicians, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance the resident experience.Documentation & Compliance:Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation for each resident in compliance with regulatory standards.Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and all state and federal regulations regarding patient care and safety.Participate in regular care audits and review processes to ensure quality improvement.Emergency Response & Crisis Management:Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively, ensuring that residents receive the appropriate emergency care and intervention.Provide immediate interventions and stabilize residents in critical situations, following established protocols.BENEFITS: At Campbell Street, we believe in taking care of our employees just as they care for others.
