Mercy is seeking a Regional Float Pool LPN to join our network of hospitals. You will float among facilities, delivering bedside nursing care to adult and geriatric patients during night shifts.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, with collaboration across diverse teams in multiple units. Sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Active LPN license in the hiring state.
• One year of bedside LPN experience for Med Surg; two years for other specialties.
• BLS; ACLS/PALS as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Float between designated Mercy facilities and provide bedside LPN care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for adult/geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with diverse clinical teams across units.
• Support multiple hospitals within the Mercy network.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements

Experience:

One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg. For all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.) a minimum of two years of recent bed-side LPN experience.

Preferred Experience:

Certifications (Must have to start) :

For Med Surg (MS) - BLS

For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS

For Emergency Department (ED) - BLS, ACLS, & PALSIV certification requiredPhysical Requirements/Demands:

Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
