Job summary

Personal Enrichment Through Mental Health Services Inc in Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Pinellas Park. The role requires active Florida LPN licensure, completion of pharmacology coursework, and experience in psychiatric and medical/surgical nursing.

You will assist in consumer care, administer medications per established protocols, and adapt to varied locations and on-call hours.

Qualifications

Current Florida licensure as an LPN and documentation of successful completion of a pharmacology course and/or examination.
One year experience in psychiatric nursing and one year experience in medical/surgical nursing.
Proven leadership skills.
Applicants who receive licensure while working at PEMHS and who have shown good judgement and initiative may have their experience requirement waived.
Physical requirements: Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods; must be able to transport self between locations; must be able to communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assists in the implementation of consumer care and administers medications to consumers according to established protocols.
Special Working Conditions: Exposure to consumers and all possible program emergencies and conditions; to possible irregular and on-call working hours; to a variety of work locations as the need arises.
