Job summary

650 Department of Veterans Affairs Claremore Veterans Home seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support provider rounds and coordinate orders and diagnostics under physician direction. You will prepare rounds, organize records, and ensure accurate documentation within the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma LPN license and English literacy to complete documentation.
• Ability to maintain training and competency.
• Proficiency with EMR and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize weekly provider-round resident lists, records, lab results, reports, and notes for physicians.
• Assist with provider-requested letters, forms, and documentation for outside entities; scan or route reports into EMR.
• Assist providers with resident examinations and minor procedures as directed, including preparing the resident and equipment.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and imaging requests and route reports to the appropriate provider or unit.
• Do not independently change a treatment plan; ensure orders are entered by the attending provider when present.
