Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse to support nursing services in the SNF department. The role involves day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a base pay of $29.79 per hour plus applicable differentials.

A 30-hour IV course and BLS are required, and incumbents may float within HPCC as needed. The nurse will document treatments, assist with assessments and care planning under RN supervision, and collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited vocational school of nursing.
• At least one year of nursing experience required; one year preferred in acute care.
• Must be able to float throughout the HPCC as needed.
• 30-hour IV course required and current BLS certification.
• LPN licensure in the State of Florida is required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, computer, and customer service skills.

Work Type: PRN/Per Diem ( Base rate of pay: $ 29.79 p/hour + differential, as applicable)

Shift: Days, 7:00:00AM to 7:30:00PM

Night differential: $ 6.00 p/hour

Evening differential: $ 3.00 p/hour

30 hours IV Certification required for this position

BLS with the American Heart Association required

Summary

Performs and documents selected acts such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited vocational school of nursing.

Experience: At least one year required, one year preferred recent experience in a similar acute care setting. Must be able to float throughout the HPCC. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment. Experience requirements may vary by department. License: Currently LPN licensure in the State of Florida.
