Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an LPN to join the Emergency Services team at Gulf Coast Medical Center. You will perform and document assigned patient care tasks under RN guidance, assist with medication administration, and contribute to data collection and delivery of quality care.

A state-approved practical nursing program, Florida LPN license, and BLS are required; IV course participation is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a state approved vocational/practical nursing program.
• Experience: LPN with 1 year or more of current LPN experience preferred.
• Certification: BLS certification current for 90 days after hire.
• Certificate: 30-hour IV Course required.
• License: Florida LPN license in good standing.
• Other: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.34 - $29.04 / hour

Summary

Performs and documents selected tasks such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the Register Nurse in collecting health data according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of a state approved vocational/practical nursing program required.

Experience: LPN with 1 year or more of current LPN experience preferred. Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment.

Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date.

30-hour IV Course required

License: Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Florida.

Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
